What are we up to?

This is a new section to share our current activities in summary. To find out more, please check out Mizzonk's Instagram.

We have completed our most recent project, H O M E, funded by the Canada Council for the Arts and BC Arts Council. Drawing upon Wan-Yi's latchkey childhood experience since age 6, H O M E explores the fine line between loneliness and solitude, proposing the idea of "Be a Home For Yourself. " taught in Zen Buddhism, as a way to transform loneliness into solitude.

We are working on documenting the project and will soon publish it on our website. We are also seeking exhibition opportunities.

Meanwhile, we are starting a new project, INSIGHT, for which we have received funding from the BC Arts Council. INSIGHT dives deep into the practice of self-directed care taught in Ancient Eastern Psychology, supported by scientific research. It will invite viewers to experience a shift of the inner transformation that Roger encountered via his multi-year self-documentation.

We are super excited about both projects mentioned above. There are many learning curves and challenges in technical skills and conceptual frameworks, such as automation controls in H O M E, animations, short film production in INSIGHT, and research on psychology and spirituality in both projects.
