Silent Melodies, XL

Silent Melodies, XL uses the basic geometry of squares to explore visual poetry. By stacking squares and institutively bending the scored lines between them, the piece forms a composition that evokes the flow of melodies.

The appearance of the artwork shifts with the light, which is intended to come from above.

The piece was exhibited in 2017 at the Center on Contemporary Art in Seattle, Washington, and the Spartanburg Art Museum in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
